Yes, contrary to the general perception of fitness, Let us look at what it actually is – “Fitness is a general state of health and well-being.” In other words, a fit person is someone who can do his/her daily activities, job, exercises or play sports with ease. Everyone wants to be fit but not everyone does it. Why?
This is because of how fitness is sometimes represented in the fitness community as having six pack abs, ripped or muscular body. When you open the social media pages of fitness models/athletes/influencers you see chiseled bodies and insane amount of strength or flexibility.
Some people want that for themselves which is great and if one wants it, it should be pursued by all means. Others just want to have a healthy and strong body and don't really care much about the aesthetics of it. Quite a huge population falls in this category. But then there are those who get intimidated and wonder who has the time to do that?
They start thinking of fitness as a huge task which needs a lot of effort and time hence don't bother to start being fit. They get stuck in an all or nothing mentality.
Well. if you fall in the first two categories, it is totally fine. The third one is not fine because fitness is not hard it you really get into it and make it a habit. You only need to start small like just 1 squat a day or being conscious about what you eat to nourish your body. And make it as convenient as it can be for you to follow through.
